What is Remote Online
Notarization?
Remote Online Notarization allows you to personally appear before a commissioned notary using secure, live audio-video technology instead of meeting in person. You still show valid ID. I still verify your identity. You still sign the document while we're face to face — just on screen instead of across a table.
It's convenient, but it isn't casual. A proper RON session uses approved technology that handles identity verification, electronic signing, tamper-evident records, and a recorded audio-video session — all required under Pennsylvania law (57 Pa. C.S. § 306.1).
Who can use RON?
Available nationwide
As a Pennsylvania-commissioned Remote Online Notary, I can notarize documents for signers located anywhere in the United States — and in many cases, outside the country — as long as the notarization follows Pennsylvania's RON requirements and your receiving party will accept it.
Not sure whether RON works in your state? See the full state-by-state breakdown →
RON is commonly used for:
Powers of attorney
Estate planning documents
Affidavits and acknowledgments
Business and corporate forms
Consent forms
Certain real estate documents
A few document types — wills, trusts, and some recorded real estate documents — have state-specific restrictions. If you're not sure your document qualifies, reach out before scheduling and I'll help you figure it out.
